Today we live in a society that drastically changes with the advance in technology. Information technology has been booming for the past two decades. In this article, the author would like to portray a few technologies that are currently making an impact in the society at present and continue to do the same at least till the near future.
DEEP LEARNING
Deep Learning has gained a lot of attention recently and has found itself applicable to the various modern-day research innovations such as Image Recognition, Google Assistance, Naural Language processing, Speech Recognition and so on. Deep learning is a subsection machine learning methods based on learning data representations. Deep learning methods are neural network models that have more than one layer where each layer representing the information of the input data.
IOT
The backbone behind several applications related to our lives such as smart city, Smart Home, Connected health, Smart farming is because of IOT. Internet of Things (IoT) is an ecosystem of connected physical objects that are accessible through the internet. The ‘thing’ in IoT could be a person with a heart monitor or an automobile with built-in-sensors, i.e. objects that have been assigned an IP address and have the ability to collect and transfer data over a network without manual assistance or intervention. The embedded technology in the objects helps them to interact with internal states or the external environment, which in turn affects the decisions taken. (source : link)
AUGMENTED REALITY
Augmented Reality (AR) is an interactive experience of a real-world environment whereby the objects that reside in the real-world are “augmented” by computer-generated perceptual information, sometimes across multiple sensory modalities( Wikipedia). The primary value of augmented reality is that it brings components of the digital world into a person’s perception of the real world, and does so not as a simple display of data, but through the integration of immersive sensations that are perceived as natural parts of an environment( Wikipedia). One can see the application of AR via apps in Games, Navigation, Healthcare and so on.
BITCOIN
Bitcoin (₿) is a cryptocurrency, a form of electronic cash. It is a decentralized digital currency without a central bank or single administrator that can be sent from user to user on the peer-to-peer Bitcoin network without the need for intermediaries( Wikipedia). The society can expect that the next generation people could move towards this electronic mode of currency with the support of the governance.
